Lunch w/an Imagineer - still available?

Does anyone know if the Lunch with an Imagineer program is still available? I thought I had heard it was running through the end of July and then they would decide whether to extend it or not, but I haven't been able to find out what Disney is going to do. The Dining section on allears still has it listed as an available option.

i would suggest calling dining. it is a 30 day event. if it is still available--DO IT!!! we thoroughly enjoyed it in may.

Disney Queen, my 15-year old son wants to do this with me. He loves all the "inside stuff" and I thought this would be a once in a life-time opportunity for us. We will definitely book it if it is available in November.

Make sure you tell the imagineer to build a 4th monorail resort, between the Contemporary and Polynesian. This should include DVC villas.

Then tell the imagineer we want Animal Kingdom, AKL, and the Epcot Resorts connected to the monorail system too.

And while your at it, suggest ticket prices are rising well beyond inflation and should be cut back toward the $50 level and held there for a few years.

Oh, and a fifth theme park would be nice too.

Ok DanPadavona, I'm jotting this all down. Of course, you know it is being added to the BOTTOM of my (rather lengthy) list, which includes the addition in MK of all the cool rides they have in Tokyo Disney that we don't have here, an added 10 minutes to the TOT ride because it's my absolute favorite and it's too short, free samples from all the restaurants in World Showcase...the list goes on.

I called and talked to a CM last night who told me that Dining with an Imagineer is currently in the computer through September. She said to call back in a few weeks and they should know whether it's being extended into November. She said it's a very popular meal.

Crossing my fingers for November...

Along the same vein, is there any info on lunch with a WDW Artist? I saw that on Allears as well.

I tell you, in the heyday of Disney animation, there is no way I would have missed that opportunity...I did every animation-related thing there was.

I guess artist doesn't necessarily mean animator, though.

Anyone know anything about this? We are not going until end of November/early December...

They did away with the lunch with an artist when the animation studio in Orlando closed. They do have a lunch with an Imagineer as well as dinner. I hope they are doing it in October. Dining said probably.

Ah. Well, not too surprising, but quite disappointing.

There really was nothing like going to WDW during the Aladdin, B&B, Lion King years I still can't believe they closed the Florida studio.
