Lunch recommendation on arrival day at one of the resorts?

VGF and POLY both have various good options for what you can just walk up to.

My question would be if you plan on getting to all the places at VGF/POLY during your stay or if you have been to them in the past? If not then add one to the list. Otherwise if you want to travel the boat to MK then to Wilderness Resort for Geyser is a good option.

I wouldn't be messing with taking a bus out to Animal Kingdom Lodge or anything when you have plenty of great options a walk or boat ride away.

I'd second the suggestion to just walk over to the new Poly tower and go to the Wailulu restaurant. But the other suggestions about Geyser Point are spot on. My only concern with that recommendation is that if you get the Bison Burger at Geyser Point you may not be hungry for Boathouse that night!

Wailulu was really good when we went in January! Another personal resort favorite of mine is Olivia's at Old Key West. They serve brunch until 2, and it's great! It won't be as quick to get to as a monorail resort, but might be something to consider if you're not in a rush.

I would pick a restaurant with easy Disney transportation if you do not want a reservation. The resorts are often requiring a hotel or dining ressie to park at a resort you are not staying at. This is especially true of resorts with easy access to a park.

We absolutely love Kona Café (especially breakfast but lunch/dinner also great). DD and I are big sushi fans and both think the sushi at Kona was great every time we’ve had it. Another resort restaurant we really like is Olivia’s at OKW. We’ve found some delicious light options there.
