Lunch outside DLR?

So, taking everything into account, I have some key takeaways I think we will use as guidelines in April :)

- Budget around $25 USD per person per day (total of $125 per day for the party of 5)
- Breakfast at the room is a must (we will probably save for a character breakfast one day, but that comes from another $$ bucket and not the regular budget...)
- Take some sandwiches, chips and similar snacks with us
- Take some re-usable water bottles with us and use water fountains from the park
- Lunch outside the parks two or three days - Earl of Sandwich, Napolinis (sp?) pizza, In-n-Out and the Taco place are highly recommended
- Lunch inside the parks one or two days
- Some kind of snack at mid-evening (thinking 5-6 PM)
- Dinner once leaving the parks late at night (that is what we usually do in Mexico, dinner @ 8 or 9 PM)

Let me know if I am missing something... :)

Thanks all for chiming in!

For the refillable bottles you can also ask at every counter service restaurant for a glass of ice water, it's free and cold and much nicer than just filling up at a typical water fountain.
I also echo the suggestion above about sharing meals. My husband and I share often and two light eaters can definitely share many meals in the park for some savings and much less waste. In the past you could also order just the "main" at a counter service location (for instance get just the burger, no fries; or just the corndog, no chips) for a nominal savings ($1 or $0.50) it's not a ton but every little bit helps and as someone with a small appetite that gets smaller when I'm hot and/or tired I don't need a whole order of fries when I'd be satisfied just eating a few off my husband's plate.

In N Out doesn't have "large fries." They have "fries." One size...

So I asked DH what the deal is with his ordering at In'N'Out. He always orders and I don't pay much attention, but I do notice that his orders of fries are noticeably larger than everyone else's. So I assumed he was getting a larger size order. We don't get fries at the location by the parks because, as everyone knows or learns quickly, In'N'Out fries don't travel very well, even the short distance to M&F. Turns out DH is charming the employees at our local shop with his fries ordering skillz -- LOL! They know us and know we share one order of fries, so they give us extra. Good thing we don't eat there too often! :)

Try your fries well done. They are crispy and stay that way for a LONG time. I guess our In N Out is generous because our orders of fries are always overflowing.
