Lunch in Cinderella's Castle

Hey, we made our reservations late so breakfast in the castle is almost impossible, but we did get reservations for a lunch in the castle. Can anyone comment on how this compares? Our guidebook says Cinderella "may" appear - what are the chances that she will? Considering the price, is it better to try and get reservations at the Crystal Palace? Any help would be much appreciated!

I would not count on seeing Cinderella at lunch - I think the chances are pretty slim. If you want a character meal, I'd suggest switching to Crystal Palace.

We had lunch in the castle a couple of trips ago just to be inside the castle, and we loved it. But we did not go with any expectation of seeing characters, and we had a couple of character breakfasts that same trip. The food at Cindy's was pretty good, but not really worth the price unless you just want the atmosphere (which we did :D ).

I have done both lunches at Cinderellas Castle AND Crystal Palace. Although the food was good at the Castle and the service was excellant I preffered Crystal Palace. We had a 2:30 seating both times. Maybe since it was Valentis day is why is was sooo crowded at the Castles. But my 2:30 at CRystal Palace in August we felt we were the only ones in the place. Had the characters to our table many times over.

If you're looking for characters, Crystal Palace is a safer bet. As everyone else has said, Cinderella is not guarenteed at lunch at CRT so whether you see her or not all depends on how busy Cindy is that day. Characters are always at Crystal Palace and come from table to table (Cinderella stays in the lobby at lunch). If you're looking for atmosphere, I personally prefer CRT. The theming of the castle is excelent and the view of Fantasyland is wonderful.

If you are still interested in Cinderella and don't see her at CRT, you can still see her at Toontown Hall of Fame. She's there usually from about 10am to 7 or so in the evening.

There's no guarantee, obviously, but I think both times I've eaten lunch at Cinderella's castle, I've seen/had my picture taken with Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother downstairs in the lobby area. Of course, this was just a nice surprise, since I was not at all looking for character interaction... just a nice meal in a nice setting.

Don't forget that 1900 Park Fair in the GF has Cinderella's Gala Feast for dinner. If you are more interested in eating dinner with Cindy than eating in the castle, this could be an option for you.

I have not eaten in the castle, but we've done CP. And it's fantastic! The characters are very interactive and spend plenty of time at each table. The food is great too.

I have also has lunch at the castle. I wanted to experience of eating in the castle but being just two adults we weren't interested in a character meal. The food was fine (not great IMO) the atmosphere was great, but there were no characters, not even in the lobby area.

I wouldn't count on seeing Cinderella at lunch either, but I will say that we LOVED lunch at the castle. We had one of the earliest times and had a window seat. The food (and desserts) were delicious and reasonably priced (for Disney). We enjoyed it so much that we will start making this our meal at the castle rather than the breakfast. I would keep your PS and enjoy and delightful lunch away from the crowds!
