We are preparing for our second trip to Disneyworld. We are going for two weeks in January. During our first trip (Dec 08) we sometimes took our lunch in to the parks with us (we stayed off resort). We'd like to do that again and are looking for suggestions of foods that don't need refrigeration. Our big staple last trip was PB&J - but you can't do that every day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nuts, peanut butter crackers, granola or protein bars, Pringles, fruit (dried travels particularly well), veggies (carrots, celery, broccoli), juice pouches.

In the past, we have rented a fridge (using a swap this year). We brought some freezie ice packs from home along with insulated lunch bags. It helped keep things cool. We also will be bringing a knapsack on wheels so that we can carry things easier.

Good luck!

Trail mix, package of crackers with cheese, the snack packs of starkist tuna with crackers, bananna's and peanut butter,

IIRC, wheeled bags are not allowed at DW

Apparently, no one told me you can't do PB&J every day. I pack a lunch to school and 4 days out of 5, it's PB&J! I feel like I'll starve if we run out of bread or PB!

We freeze juice boxes sometimes, and use them for ice packs.

Usually if it's not too hot out, cheese sticks are fine without refrigeration for a while. Also, grapes freeze well and are yummy treats.

One time when my DH and I flew to Orlando, it was right when the airlines had stopped serving meals (1992?). I packed in my backpack a Hickory Farms beefstick (small one), some of their cheese that doesn't require refrigeration, and some crackers. Our flight had a layover in Atlanta, so we had a nice picnic (we couldn't afford to buy food in the airport back then!).
