I am in a lunch rut. None of my old stand-by's sound good. I don't like fish/seafood but other then that I eat pretty much everything. What do you usually have for lunch. I just need some new ideas.

take a pita pocket type thing and put a dab of mayo or salad dressing.....a few slices of tomatos and a little bit of lettuce then a few pieces of roast beef.....I like rare roast beef.....or even sliced turkey......this is delicious and very good to take with you places.......YUMMY

Today I'm having a garden salad tossed with sliced apple, walnuts and balsamic vin. dressing :) :) :)

Some other days I might have a chicken salad wrap or pita pocket w/ veggies

Lean Cuisine paninis or their newer pizza flatbreads :)

Bagel/cream cheese and an apple or grapes :)

leftovers from the night before whatever that might be :rotfl:

Off to go eat lunch now that you made me hungry!

Lunch for me is almost always leftovers. I actually like it because it's substantial and I get a bit more variety than I would just eating sandwiches and Lean Cuisines.

I do keep a couple of LC meals on hand in case there's nothing around the house. I will also occasionally make myself breakfast for lunch. Sometimes I buy a box of fish sticks as a treat for lunch. DH hates them, so lunch is my time to get what I want.

Can you make enough dinner for leftovers? Are there any foods that you love that the rest of the family hates?

I usually just eat what is leftover from dinner (I always make sure to make extra). It keeps lunch from being boring. I get bored with sandwiches.

I usually make plenty extra for left overs, some foods are better for that then others, I just don't have any right now. I made spaghetti last night and I usually make a bunch of extra noodles and then put them in a ziplock bag in the fridge for the next day but I got busy after dinner last night and they got left in the strainer and got all crunchy :rolleyes1 . Right now I am eating Halloween M & M's trying to decide what to have for lunch. Sounds nutritious, huh!

Well, on days like that I head STRAIGHT for Chipotle!

DH always takes leftovers. If we happen to go out to dinner during the week, he'll stop and buy something or take soup. I don't care too much for sandwiches other than PB&J so I usually bring a Lean Cuisine or WW Smart One. They usually fill me up. Of course, I'm starving by the time I get home at 5!

Lunch? Is that the time of day after I've gotten the kid's lunches and snack packed and started prepping dinner? You mean there's more to eat than the little bit of pretzels and whatever junk I could get my hands on?

I'm having a grilled cheese sandwich and chicken noodle soup today. I thought about making an omelet but decided against it.
