Where would you eat lunch if you were spending a day at the Magic Kingdom, and why?

No, just me, a solo traveler who loves character meals and signature dining equally.

LTT: Great food, it's in an area of the park we are usually in around lunchtime, and there is someone else there to do all the work and running around for me. I love taking our mid-day break there.

I voted for Liberty Tree Tavern. It's a nice, cool oasis at mid-day.They have great food, relaxing atmosphere and a wonderful waitstaff.

If you were looking for counter service, I would have suggested El Pirata Y el Perico, even though it's a hit or miss on it being open. It's the better of all the counter service in the MK IMO. but again, it looks like you're looking for a table service place.

Or if you were looking for a quick lunch, I would say to go to The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland and get a turkey leg.....can't beat that!

I picked Tonys because the menu looks good and I wouldnt want to leave the park

I voted for Cindy's, it has characters with a signature feel experience.

I vote Liberty Tree Tavern for a table service meal. For counter service, Casey's Corner can't be beat! After all, who doesn't love a ballpark dog?:cool1: :rotfl2: :goodvibes :goodvibes

I voted for CRT. I love the atmosphere and Major Domo's pie is divine.

I voted for the Plaza because it has a great menu and atmosphere and I think it's a good spot for lunch on a hot afternoon. Milk shakes! :)

I voted Kona Cafe. I love Kona! I think that it is a nice break from MK. The food is great, athe service is good, and the deserts are excellent. It will give you a nice break from the Florida sun, and is only a quick mono ride away and back. Kona is right outside of the mono platform too!

We actually like leaving the park for a break at a hotel midday when at the MK, but we don't have kids with us so the in and out isn't a hassle.

I voted Kona but rethinking it, I would probably try the Wave before returning to Kona. Trying the new spots is something I enjoy doing.

I voted Plaza out of your choices (although we like Liberty Tree Tavern and Tony's as well; we have never done CRT--no girls in our family and we did not like Kona at all the last time we were there). We love the "simple" sandwiches after all the "heavy" meals we eat the rest of the days at the parks. And my DH and I must share that chocolate shake and have a sundae (we each get a sundae...no way am I sharing my hot fudge...not even with DH after 25 years :rotfl: ).

I voted for Crystal Palace. It's a beautiful restaurant and my whole family enjoyed the buffet. And you just can't beat getting to see Pooh and Eeyore! Tigger and Piglet too, of course.

We loved Tony's. It's very old school Disney and perfectly charming. Lady is my alltime favorite so it felt super magical to me. Get a table by the fountain. :thumbsup2 Food and servce were both really good; the portions are huge and very easy to split.

So far I'm the only one who voted for Grand Floridian Cafe, so let me explain. The first time we went here we were so pleasantly surprised! It was very nice taking the boat over to the GF. The restaurant itself is very pretty with large windows so there is lots to look at. The meal itself was great. I had a grilled chicken sandwich, which sounds rather boring but it wasn't. One of my girls had the hot sandwich with a cheese sauce - incredible. My other daughter had some shrimp salad which was yummy. My son said they have the best burgers around. My DH had the same thing as me and he thought it was great, too. Liked it so much we've been back several times and really think it's kinda a hidden gem. Don't tell anyone though, okay? ;)

So I voted Liberty Tree because I've been wanting to try lunch there myself. I was thinking I wouldn't want a big buffet if it were just me. I'm not personally sold on the Wave menu. The others are either "been there done that" or I can't get over some of the bad reviews to try them.

I will have to say though that I ate at the GF Cafe for dinner last trip and really enjoyed it. If I were traveling solo I think I'd feel very comfortable there.

My vote was for Plaza...we've never been there but plan on going there for dinner during MNSSHP. Didn't like Tony's, wasn't impressed with Cindy's and wouldn't want to leave MK. My other option for you would be to go to Pinnochio Village Haus and try the Figaro Fries and sit overlooking IASM. LTT wouldn't be a bad option, either.

We discovered Grand Floridian Cafe last month and it is a perfect oasis of calm away from the parks, and they don't half do a good sandwich as well! Its a new must-do for us!
