In all our visits to FW, we have never been in the campground at lunch time. We have decided to spend two days enjoying the campground this trip. I'm wondering what lunch options there is. I know about the buffet at TE & the option of getting soup & salad only. Is there any other options, other than TE? TIA :)

You can grab a snack at the Trading Posts. There's not a lot to choose from, and I haven't been there in awhile, but we used to get sandwiches at the Meadows Trading Post. I'm not sure if they have them anymore...maybe somebody else knows for sure?

The last time we were there they had sandwiches. That was in August. You could also take a short boat ride over to Wilderness Lodge and eat at one of the restaurants there.

We'll be there from Dec. 23rd to Jan. 2nd, which definitely qualifies as peak season. Hopefully, we'll be able to get a sandwich there. This is only at the Meadows Trading Post, right? We're eating breakfast at WCC & dinner at Artist Point that week also. AP is our fav. WDW restaurant. :) We tried Roaring Forks once, but weren't very impressed. Hopefully, we'll be able to find something at the Fort. Thanks for all the suggestions. :)

Trails End has a pretty good lunch for a reasonable price. Also, if your lunch is "late" as in around 4pm. Crocketts Tavern has pizza and appetizers.
