Well, it's been a while since Jo Jo has had her own show on Playhouse Disney but I see she is featured at the character lunch at H&V.

We like to do buffets because there's no waiting around for food with 3 little kids so I was thinking this might be a good choice for our DHS day.

However, my littlest ones are 3 (twins) and don't really know Jo Jo or Goliath at all. My 7 year old would probably recognize her but not know her name. They all like the Little Einstiens and love Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

How much of the lunch 'entertainment' focuses on Jo Jo? Will they still enjoy lunch there even if they aren't that familiar with Jo Jo?

The characters walk around to the tables twice during the meal. After a rotation, they all do a dance and sing. It's cute and keeps my boys entertained during the meal.

My DS5 knows JoJo, but DS2 hasn't got a clue who she is. Nor does he care. A character is a character to him. :rotfl: He wants a hug and a kiss regardless. :rotfl2:

Neither boys know any of the princesses but love to run up to them in the parks as well. DS5 ran to Snow White in Epcot, he just had to have a picture because all the other kids were in line :lmao:

As long as your kids are not afraid of them, I wouldn't worry about it.

This is a hidden gem as far as I'm concerned. I never see much written about this place but I went there in 09/08 and WOW:worship: :worship: :worship:
The characters do ALOT of interaction with the kids. JOJO is a tiny part of it. they really did alot with dancing and getting the kids involved.

Oh and the food was spectacular. Much better then the Princess tea party at Grand Floridian which was more money. They have a seafood rissotto that I gained 5 pounds on alone. The desserts were also very good. This was one of the best meals I had down there and I have been to 90% of the CM

Keep the ADR! The character interaction is so wonderful. My DD3 and DD1 loved every minute of it.

My kids (DD3 & DS5) are not into any of the characters at H&V, but still had a blast. We were the first seating at lunch. The food was good and the interaction was VERY good!

Same here, my kids really had a great time with the characters. They are asking me to go back there again. Hopefully this year. So for sure, your kids will loved it too.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

We don't even have the Disney Channel at home, so my son had no idea who any of the characters were when we ate there and he still loved it! He loved meeting the characters, no matter who they were. He also really enjoyed the music and the dancing. I'm sure your children will enjoy eating there whether they are familiar with the characters or not. Plus, we all enjoyed the food there as well! Have a great trip!
