Hi All,
DH & I were thinking of checking out the FW resort on our trip in April. Maybe take the trail ride, etc . It would either be late morning or early afternoon so we might want to have lunch while there. What are our options? If I'm correct Trails End doesn't do lunch anymore so it seems like slim pickings at the Fort. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Trails end "breakfast" goes until noon so that may be an option. Alternatively you could boat over to Wilderness Lodge and check out Whispering Canyon which we are big fans of.

Two points:

1) On weekends, Trails End serves a "brunch" which is a buffet of breakfast foods plus a smaller selection of dinner foods. It's not the whole dinner menu but they have the fried chicken TE is famous for plus other favorites. The brunch serves until 2pm and is our favorite for value and variety. You didn't say what day of the week you're considering this but if it's Saturday or Sunday (they also run the brunch around holiday/busy times), you're in luck.

2) Around lunchtime there is a food truck that locates near the tennis courts and pool area to serve the pool crowd. In the evenings it rolls over and serves the campfire/singalong/movie location. It has a nice variety of food and may still be listed as the "Chuckwagon" on the Disney menus which it replaced at the campfire location. But the menu is definitely the truck. And it gets pretty good reviews for what it is.

From the Trail Ride location at the Outpost bus depot, take an Orange or Yellow internal bus and ride down to the pool/Meadow Trading Post area for the food truck. For Trails End, ride either bus all the way to the end of the line (1 mile) to the Settlement Depot and walk over to Trails End.

Either one beats driving all over for lunch before hitting the road.

Yes, this! At WL, you could also go to Geyser Point or Roaring Forks.

The small boat makes a loop, FW/WL/CR. The entire loop is about 20 minutes. You could go to either WL or CR for lunch. Plus, the boat ride is fun for the kiddo's.
