Lunch at ESPN or Beaches & Cream

My MIL will be bringing us to the World from her house in St. Pete our first day of arrival. We are planning on taking her to lunch with us but are wondering which is better.....ESPN or Beaches & Cream? I'm sure they both have burgers, who's is better? I guess if ESPN has better burgers we can always go to B&C for dessert......

DW, DD, and I were just staying at the Beach Club. We ate at both ESPN and Beaches and Cream. Myself I would pick Beaches and Cream over ESPN. The Burgers are better at Beaches. Desserts are out of this world. I felt that we had better service at Beaches. Try the onion rings, a very large portion.

I don't remember which burger I enjoyed more. (Which means they are both probably great!) I like the ambience of B&C more. I love the soda fountain feel. And you wouldn't have to move venues for dessert. Also, unless MIL is a huge sports fanatic, I wouldn't think ESPN would "appeal" as much. Just my opinion - have fun which ever one you choose!

The ESPN would be for DH more than MIL, although she is a sports fan....especially when it comes to football. We're Bears fans and she's a Buc fan.....you should see her go at with DH. Too funny! We'll just see what happens when we get there. I might have to appease them both! Thanks for the suggestions! We just cannot wait! 2 more months!! Woohoo!

Remember that neither of these places takes ADRs, so you'd save time (wait for a table once instead of twice) by picking one place for both lunch and dessert.

Yep, I thought of that. Decided MIL will just have to fight it out with DH on the day of arrival at ESPN (I think I'll have to remind DH & DD we should wear our Bears caps or shirts that day! ). Plus we have plenty of time throughout our stay for B&C for dessert!
