should add no park hoppers and kids are 8 (boy) and 10. so no one cares if we see characters

So far we have HS on Sunday
Lunch at 50's Prime Time
Dinner at Whispering Canyon (staying at WL)

Monday breakfast at Whispering Canyon
Off to Epcot
Lunch at Sanaa
back to Epcot
dinner at Via Napolli

Tuesday breakfast at Whispering Canyon or QS there at WL
need to plan lunch...and dinner...
lunch options available are
go to DTD and come back... (bad idea right?)
Crystal Palace
The Plaza Restaurant
Tony's Town Square
Mediterranean Market at Dolphin
Kona
Maya Grille
The Wave

Should we leave and eat lunch and come back or should we stay for lunch and leave the park a little early?
We live 1.5 hours from Orlando, so we can go just for Downtown Disney, even if it is not all that likely... so I'm not worried as much about missing something there...

Kona is a great lunch, I noticed they are all TS? Lots of options for CS. Capn' Cooks at the Poly has great Pork Sandwiches, that is the same meat as the Luau. For TS, we also LOVE Citricos @ Grand Floridian.

I haven't been to many on your list but the ones that are--are favorites.

We go to Tony's, Crystal Palace & The Plaza every trip and have children similar in ages.

Many people complain about Tony's but we've always enjoyed it. :confused3

Crystal Palace is a good buffet and we like Pooh characters even DS doesn't mind.

Plaza has great sandwiches and perfect location.

Have a magical trip!

We are also driving back to Tampa that day so maybe it makes the most sense to just eat there in MK, and head out for Tampa before Wishes...
Ugh I don't know it seems like it would be more fun to head somewhere cool for lunch at 12 and back after that for a little bit. What is "close" to Wilderness lodge? We dont have any time carved out to just check out the lodge.....

Love Tonys and the Crystal Palace. Don't think you will go wrong with either of those choices.

If you're wanting a Park break maybe try one of the other MK Resorts. The Poly and GF both have good CS and TS.

sometimes when we visit the MK, we head over to the Poly and grab lunch at Captain Cook's. It is just a quick service restaurant but it is really good. the aloha pork sandwich is awesome!!!

it is also a good way to take a quick break from crowds! when we were at the MK for thanksgiving week this past year, it was super crowded and it was nice to relax for a bit.

If you're going to be in MK then Liberty Tree Tavern has a great lunch...I have eaten there many times and have never been dissapointed

LTT is good, and there's Columbia Harbor House also...

In MK:
- Liberty Tree Tavern has a great lunch
- The Plaza has good sandwiches and milkshakes
- Tony's Town Square (chicken parm and tiramasu :lovestruc)

You could take a break from the park and go to one of the resorts on the monorail near MK for lunch:

At the Poly:
- Kona Cafe :) The food is great there and the service is wonderful!
- Captain Cooks has lots of options for QS

At the Contemporary:
- The Wave- such a cool atmosphere and great food too!
- Contempo Cafe has lots of options as well- it is QS but it is definitely worth the trip! Try their cupcakes while you're there...YUM!

At the Grand Floridian:
- Grand Floridian Cafe is just beautiful and the service is very good. Also, the selection is great :)
- Gasparilla Grill and Games for a QS and an easy lunch with some favorites like burgers, wraps, pizza and salads.

Happy planning! :wizard:

Thank You Folks! I think we will take the monorail to one of the close by restaurants... Probably CS so as not to need a reservation.

Then we will probably stay at MK until 7 ish and start headed home...
Maybe stop for dinner at an off site Orlando restaurant like The Ravenous Pig YUMMYY

I just saw that you said you are going to do CS at a monorail resort, but I was going to say stay in MK and go to CP.:thumbsup2 Since that is your last day there, my vote is for not wasting park time to leave and eat lunch.

Actually that is our only day there... so we may just do that. Either way I am not making a TS reservation :)

I second the above. XD

We LOVED the Liberty Tree Tavern. I think we ended up eating there 3 times during our first trip.(okay... our only trip so far in Sept).
(I adored the pot roast!)

The Turkey family platter dinner we were served on the MNSSHP was phenomenal. Service was great and I loved the atmosphere.

Monday breakfast at Whispering Canyon
Off to Epcot
Lunch at Sanaa
back to Epcot
dinner at Via Napolli

Sanaa is wonderful, but that is a HUGE investment in time leaving EPCOT and getting to Sanaa and back. Especially since EPCOT is filled with wonderful restaurants. If you have your heart set on leaving EPCOT for lunch (in case can't tell, I am against that), consider walking to the Yacht/Beach/Boardwalk area for one of their fine eateries.

I would go for LTT for either lunch or dinner. We have had dinner there a few times but still miss the characters.

I agree, we tried this lunch in September and knew we will be going back for our May trip. Everything here is so good and the service is just as good. Another one we like is Tony's Town Square. Have a great time.

Plenty of good CS in the MK and time not wasted leaving park for CS. Now if you want a nice TS, there are lots of choices at any of the monorail resort.

We like Cosmic Rays, Columbia house, and Peco Bills all at the MK.

We love Columbia Harbor House at MK and then you won't have to leave or make a ressie. BUT, I'm also excited to try Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch on our next trip. It's never any place I've thought about, but it was in someone's dining review and that burger makes me very excited. I LOVE me a good burger!!! :)
