Lumberjacks cancelled and they're not happy...

Off Kilter was a staple. I certainly wouldn't want to follow their act but the "Jacks" knew what they were competing with. It's unfortunate they were boo'd and heckled but if we're being honest, the show was quite boring compared to the joy that Off Kilter brought. Disney truly dropped the ball on this entire situation (removing Off Kilter and replacing with a carnival sideshow-esque "attraction.")

If people want to post negative things on social media, that's fair. However, booing and jeering a live performance is inappropriate behavior, especially considering the Epcot has many other entertainment options and no one is a captive audience member. Guests are free to move along if something doesn't suit them.

When Disney hired Off Kilter they probably didn't know how popular they would become with guests. The reason for not renewing the contract for the band is unknown to me--it was likely a matter of money. Unless someone can demonstrate to the corporate bean counters that not having Off Kilter in Epcot is hurting park admissions, the band is likely a thing of the past. Furthermore, the bean counters could probably agree to eliminate live entertainment in Canada altogether if it's determined that a suitable replacement can't be found within the budget.

Actually I'm pretty sure it's a time-honored method of showing one's feelings for the performance, just like clapping shows the opposite. It's a good point that people can just move along, but it doesn't change the fact that people have been showing their approval or disapproval for performances in the same way for as long as humans have been performing for others.

It's rude.

It isn't a specific concert that you paid for and, as everyone has different tastes, if booing was acceptable you could having booing at everything ruining it for those who enjoy the show. Just move on if it isn't your thing.

The booing and heckling is just inappropriate, rude behavior. If you don't like a show, don't stay and write a letter to corporate expressing your opinion if you like. Purchasing admission to Epcot does not give you permission to be a jerk.

I was not a fan of the lumberjack show, and I'm glad they're gone. I stopped and watched brief portions on a few occasions though. Lots of people seemed to be enjoying them. Thankfully, I never encountered anyone "booing" or heckling them. There's no need for that. That's just the epitome of rudeness.

If a show is entertaining, guests will support it. I certainly recognize that when anything is replaced in Disney, there are folks who will be upset because the thing being replaced is someone's favorite somewhere. But, again, if a show or attraction is good, the majority of guests will support it. Just seems like the lumberjacks did not provide that.

I actually liked seeing it once, but it just doesn't have the staying power of many of Disney's shows. I wouldn't watch it a second time and didn't even stick around for the whole thing. However, I watch the Taiko drumming every trip.

I think it's a shame that that is the behavior they encountered at their shows. It is not the lumberjacks' fault that Disney removed Off Kilter and replaced the band with the lumberjack show. We saw the show once, and I think they did the best they could given the space they were given. The theater space in Canada was not conducive to their show.

I think they are annoyed they spent so much money on those fancy costumes and now they've lost their gig. :D

I saw them a couple times and didn't observe anything inappropriate from the audience. They split the lumberjacks (and the audience) in a couple of groups, so there was some good natured booing, as it was a "competition". That said, I think I'd agree that the show never quite fit in...I'm not by any means a "rabid" Off Kilter fan, but I think it was a better fit.

Well said, Ron.

Hopefully, some day OK will be back.
