Today's plan of action:

1. Devotions: "Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ." 16/31 :D
2. Vitamins: 16/31 :D
3. Water: 12/31 :D
4. Exercise: Tomorrow I hop back on the exercise track. 6/31
5. Food: Today's my day for a new smilie. 10/31 I did much better today. No binge/grazing behaviors. :D
6. Scale: 16/31 :D

It's a long day, but I'm feeling better. DD has a concert tonight, so I'll leave work an hour early and head to her school. Tomorrow I begin a whirlwind week of class parties at work. Fun, but FULL of temptation. I'm glad the DZone will be behind me!

Thank you all for helping me through this week. I'm blessed to have friends like you.

Erin, you can make it!! You're almost out of the DZone and you'll have a couple glorious weeks ahead! :cloud9: I love Michelle's smilie!!!

Have you considered making or buying a special treat to have with you during your "temptation time"?? I'm not sure about WW but on low-carb, I could make some peanuts lightly covered with chocolate and reserve them for when temptation calls - they aren't strictly on plan but would be much healthier than a lot of the other stuff. Also, keep a glass of water in your hand - makes it harder to pick up any stray goodies! :p How about some WW approved hot cocoa in your mug instead?? Just some thoughts!

Sounds like we both read the Upper Room devotional today. :p Bask in the light of God's love today and let Him sustain you through all the busyness.

I like Doe's ideas for your party! I know what you mean - they are fun but full of temptations. I'll be sending you lots of pixie dust to avoid all those treats and stay on program.

I think you have superior planning skills. Getting DZONE over with before the parties start was brillant. I think Doe's suggestion was a good one. It is worth a try. Regardless, I know that you will do your best and that is all anyone can ask.

4. Exercise--I didn't get up early to do this. I'm going to try to get 2 miles in before bed.
5. Food--sensible eating yesterday seemed to do the trick. I'm going to try that again today. One rule: no candy.
6. Scale 18/31 :D

12/20/04 Brrrr, it's cold outside!

Just a quick update, everyone. I'm sorry that I'm not spending more time on the WISH and I know I'm just not getting to journals like I should, but I'm thinking that soon I'll be "back" and around like I like to be.

Yesterday my DH was in a major car accident on his way to the church he was playing at; a woman lost control of her car and hit him pretty much on his left side. He wasn't able to avoid her--there was a stone wall on his right side, so he got squooshed between her and the wall. Praise God, he wasn't hurt--and neither was the woman--but the car may be totalled. We'll just have to see.

All day yesterday I was quite aware of how precious my DH is to me and how blessed I am to have him. . .and how quickly life can change. Don't sweat the small stuff, girlfriends, and you know it really is pretty much small stuff!

I haven't done too well this weekend. My in-laws finally came on Sat. and the accident yesterday. . .I let it get me quite derailed. Here's the plan, though for the day:

1. Devotions--haven't done them yet, though I have read some of my Mary/Martha book. Holding at 19/31
2. Vitamins--forgot them all weekend 17/31
3. Water--didn't drink enough at all 13/31
4. Exercise--7/31
5. Food--11/31
6. Scale--weighed in yesterday at 175, 19/31. Forgot the scale this morning; had to roll out of bed at 5 a.m. to get DH to work.

I'll be around tonight if I can. Love you all. :grouphug: Tracy, I'm glad you're home.

Erin, I'm so sorry to hear about DH's accident. Know that he will be in my prayers as he recovers. It isn't unusual for aches and pains to appear even a few days after, so be ready with the Tylenol for any minor discomfort and send him to the doc if any pain lingers.

I am so sorry to hear about the car accident. I am glad that DH is ok, but he will probably be feeling it for awhile. Motrin may help. I will be saying prayer for your family. Insurance companies, deductables, and being without the car add stress to an already stressful season. You are doing great. Take it a day at a time. I'm pulling for you.

It's Tuesday, December 21, 2004. Like Doreen, I'm well aware that tomorrow the days start getting longer and brighter. Hooray for that! :Pinkbounc

Plan? What plan?

1. Devotions--21/31
2. Vitamins--haven't had them yet, but yesterday's brought me to 18/31
3. Water--I might have had one glass yesterday. I'll try to do better today.
4. Exercise--I decided to visit journals this a.m. instead.
5. Food--A few too many goodies
6. Scale--forgot again this morning.

DH is feeling fine. The only problem is working with insurance companies. This too shall pass. I'm just tired. Trying to stay :flower: , though. I've got to get into the shower and get ready for work. Tonight we have a church dinner to go to--it should be fun, if I can stay awake! Could we all give up a big cheer for Coffee?!! :cheer2:

I have to be really quick today. I found DDs science essay in the printer and had to run it back to school--that ate up my WISH time. Anyway, here's how I'm doing:

1. Devotions 22/31 :D
2. Vitamins--forgot them yesterday, but took them today, so I'm 19/31 :D
3. Water--14/31 Made it yesterday and will keep trying today
4. Exercise--none today
5. Food--Oh, yesterday was FRIGHTFUL!
6. Scale--Did I use the word FRIGHTFUL yet?! Still, I looked that scale right in the eye. Not only was it scary, it was sobering and will help me focus today. 20/31 :D

DH is feeling just fine. Thanks, Beth and Tracy, for checking in yesterday.
