Many of you will remember the Shark attacks in Florida in June.

One of the victims was Lulu Gribbin and it looks like she is thriving in her recovery!

What a Bad A this girl is!!!!

We were just down the beach when the shark attacks happened in June. I have personally never seen so many sharks in the gulf before and I grew up close to this area. My sons were in the water and had a 6 foot bull shark swim right by them 30 minutes before the first attack. Saw 8 footers swimming right by the shore the next morning. Something was definitely up with the sharks that weekend.

We have been following lulu and Elizabeth’s journey since the attacks. So happy both are recovering. Not sure I will ever get back into the gulf again though.

I also read that she told her Doctors if they found any Shark teeth when they were they were cleaning her wounds she wanted them!

I have been reading about the attacks that day and the terribly sad thing is that after the attack at Watersound,the officials discussed whether to close all of Walton County,which would have included Seacrest,but eventually just went with the standard policy of just closing the immediate area of the attack.

Hindsight is 20/20,of course,and I am sure no one feels worse about what happened that those officials.

The article I read said they closed Watersound after the attack there but left Seacrest and the other Walton County beaches open until after the Seacrest attack.

So they didn't even close Watersound until after the Seacrest attack-WOW!

Yes,it is devastatingly sad,but I know Lulu and the Gribbins' are just so thankful she is still here-she lost two thirds of her blood!

Lulu is from Mountain Brook,Alabama and another teenager from there,Natalie Holloway,though an entirely different situation,never made it back home so I know the Gribbins' are so thankful that Lulu will get to go back home!

I love the Room Tour she did-I can't believe she is already opening cabinets with her new hand!!!!

Lulu is an Alabama fan so ROLL LULU ROLL!!!!

I really hope Lulu's story finds its way to Taylor Swift one day and she will do a video or phone call for Lulu.

In my mind I picture Lulu at a Taylor Swift Concert sometime in the future and being the girl that gets the hat from Taylor during that song she does.

If Lulu does go the University of Alabama in a few years,I am thinking she will have her pick of Sororities!

Lulu got to leave the hospital for the first time!

She went to the Panthers game and made the Video Board!

I think she is going to be a busy girl when released-I read that Alabama's new Coach has invited her for a visit when she is ready.

Lulu is going home!!!!

Her hometown is having a celebration for her on Saturday.

A simple Mother/Daughter beach trip turned into unimaginable tragedy, but Lulu never felt sorry for herself-she became an example for everyone of strength,tenacity, courage and the power of the Human spirit.
