We'll be on the May 1st-Eastern cruise. We booked our plane reservations ourselves. Do we have to claim our luggage at MCO or does DCL do it for us? We have purchased roundtrip transfers from DCL to Port.

The luggage are tied to the transfers, not the airplane. Just make sure you have the tags that will be included in your documentation securely fastened to each piece you want them to bring to your cabin shipboard for you. You might also want to update them as to what flights you are using both ways and they will include that in all documentation.

unless you are flying in a day earlier...in that case, i believe you need to take care of your own luggage till the day of the cruise, when you get back to MCO for your DCL bus to take you to port.
