We're heading to WDW in 2 weeks  . We are staying at ASMo for the 1st 2 nights and switching over to CR on Saturday 4/7 (day before Easter) for 5 nights.

I know that Disney will transfer our luggage for us, but since it is such a busy time and I'm assuming one of the busiest check-in days, should we just take a cab with us and luggage over to CR that morning and check-in early. Will the $$$ spent be worth the peace of mind?

Any idea how much the cab would cost and how do a book a cab from the resort....I'm thinking like 7:00 am, we want to get to CR check in and head to MK 1st thing that morning.

TIA!:goodvibes

i don't think there's an issue if you let disney handle it.

otherwise, i don't specifically know ASMo to CR, but my rule of thumb for cabs is about $20 (often with tip). as to how to get one, there are cabs that probably live on property, so it's not a real issue. just have someone in front call you one and it shouldn't be more than 5 minutes or so.

I guess I'll pack one of those small back-packs to throw the swim suits and DH's meds in. Head to MK, rent a locker for the backpack, check into CR 2:00ish, enjoy the pool until our room is ready, have some dinner and head back to parks for the evening.

We have resort hopped a few times, each time we have been told that our luggage would not reach the other resort until between 1:00 and 3:00. What we do is just pack everything up, let luggage services take the luggage and hold it, and then we just head off to one of the parks.
We then go to our new resort later in the day, check in and our luggage has always been there for us.
If you prefer to take a taxi, all you need to do is call from your room, there is a button on the phone, I am not sure if it the luggage services or bell services, but let then know you need a taxi and they will call for one for you.
The taxis are usually right outside the resorts and come pretty quickly. I would count on the cost from the Allstar resorts to the CR to be at least 15.00
