Yes, Disney will transfer bags between Disney-owned resorts.

The usual advice is to plan to not have your bags available at resort #2 until later in the day - think 3-4pm+. You occasionally will hear a story here and there of it being later. So make sure to pack anything you may need (medications, swimsuits, etc) in a daypack to take with you that day, if applicable.
