We are cruising on the Wonder in less than a week, and I have a question about the luggage tags that came with our cruise docs. We booked our own air, and are taking a van from Quicksilver to the port. Do we need to make sure that the Disney luggage tags are on our luggage when we pull the bags out of the van at the port? I'm thinking yes, since how else will DCL know which stateroom to deliver the luggage to? Can anyone confirm that this is correct? TIA

Yes, the tags need to be on your luggage before you check your bags at the port. I would put them on before you load the bags into the van at the airport so you won't have to to it at the port.

You leave the airport. We went on the Wonder last year and we had our own rental car, so what we had to do is NOT put the tags on because if they are on there at the airport then someone will make a mistake and take them directly to the boat. (In some cases that is not a good idea). We waited until we got our bags at the airport then put them on for when we got to the port. And the baggage guy handled them from there. Hope this helps!!! :goodvibes

...and be careful ripping them out of the book. I was so excited to put them on the bags that I ripped the first one. It didn't matter-we had plenty, just a "heads up"

Last cruise, like a bonehead, I forgot to put the DCL tags on before we arrived at the Terminal. Porter never hesitated, no problem, he put them on. And our previous cruise we packed heavy, had more bags than tags, and the porter had extras that he wrote our name and stateroom onto. Tips these folks well. :cheer2:
