Luggage Tags

Hi All,

So the luggage tags that came with our package say to put them on before we check our bags at the airport, and I am concerned because we're coming in the afternoon before and staying at the airport Hyatt, and then transferring to the ship with DLC transfers. No problems with this even coming in the day before?

My other question is can I keep one bag out for changing and all of our bathroom stuff and then put the tag on it in the AM when we head to the DCL shuttle?

If you are not flying in the day of your cruise, then you don't put the tags on before you check the bags at your home airport. Staying at the Hyatt, you will collect your bags at baggage claim and when checking into the Hyatt, tell them you are taking a DCL cruise and have the DCL transfers booked. They will give you a form to fill out. Then they will collect your bags from your room around 8:00am in the morning and take them to DCL for transport to the ship. So put the tags on before the Hyatt picks them up in the morning.

Yes, you can keep one bag back, tag it, and hand it off just before getting on the DCL bus.

This is the way we did it on our last cruise 5 years ago. I was surprised that instructions that came with the tags said to put them on before checking our luggage at the airport. FWIW we made out own airline reservations, but Disney does know we're coming in the night before.

Well, I believe the system (as in the computer program) doesn't know you're arriving the day before, unless you've booked through DCL. Even if you've supplied them with that info.

All the more reason to collect our bags at the carousel @ MCO.
