Luggage Tags

Just received our luggage tags and noticed that they have "AK" on them.. we are staying at All Star Movies. Does it say "AK" because the resort is in the Animal Kingdom area or did they possibly make a mistake? I remember that they said "Pop" when we stayed at Pop Century..

Yes, it's because the All Stars are in the Animal Kingdom area.

Just found this old thread because I was wondering the same thing! Just got our luggage tags and they say AK. We are staying at Pop Century. Any ideas? Thanks!

Same thing as above & what dansdad answered. You are OK - Pop is in the same delivery area as AK.

Each DME bus drops off to a group of resorts that are more or less located in the same area, so you don't have buses trying to drop people off at 20 different resorts. I think the zone names are MK, HS, EP and AK. The All Stars and Pop are in the AK zone.

While it's the same general concept as the ME buses, worth noting the luggage tags aren't for DME, they are for the Bags Inc folks that sort the bags for delivery to Disney and those codes let them know what delivery area the bag goes to.
