luggage storage question

We are staying one night at POP on july 3rd and then the 4th we are checking in at SSR for 9 more days. i am not sure as to what to do with our luggage. we would only need an overnight bag for the one night.

will bell services store our luggage and send it to SSR . or should we go to ssr and leave our luggage there and just let them send it to our room when ready.

never did a split stay before so i am a bit confused as to what to do.

We stayed one night at Pop and moved to Poly for the rest of our stay. We were told Disney would move our luggage from Pop to Poly, which they did. You have to call to arrange this.

Here is how it worked for us - before we went to sleep at Pop that first night, we called the front desk at Pop and requested that our bags be picked up the following morning and moved to the Polynesian. We told them our bags would be ready at 9 am. We left our bags in our Pop room and caught a bus to the parks.

Later in the day, we kept checking Poly for our bags, but they didn't arrive until about 6:30 pm, so make sure you have everything you need to survive a day without your luggage, like meds and such. We also needed to be IN OUR ROOMS to receive our luggage, so that was a bit of a pain. Not sure if that is still a requirement.

That said, Disney makes it very easy to resort hop, but just my opinion, I am going to stay at one resort per stay from now on. I didn't like the packing and unpacking and wasted time. Have fun on your trip! Tink
