We are going on our second cruise in March. For our first cruise we stayed at a Disney resort and took Disney transportation. All our checked luggage was picked up in our room and we didn't see it again until it showed up in our stateroom. This cruise we are staying at the port the night before and will drive and park at the port. At what point will we be be able to get rid our our bigger bags? Is there a skycap where we can check them outside? I remember going through a security screener before getting in the port. We have a few older individuals and I don't want them to have to muscle their luggage around and none of them would ever want help......
Thanks!!
Yes when you turn into the Disney pier part, you can turn left to the parking lot, or drive straight across the road through the fenced area and drive up to some unloading bays there, care have photo ID and your ressie for back up.
Unload there and then the porters take your luggage.
Driver can loop around leaving other passengers, and you either have the preferred open parking bays to your left, or go straight then curve left to the covered cheeper parking lot.
Then park, and either walk on pavement across road back to terminal or via the footbridge if on a higher level of the lot.
So bigger bags straight out of car to a porter in the unloading bays just keep carry on with your party.
You can if you wish park in the lot and carry the bags across but then you will meet the same porters so it's not worth it.
Scanner is in the terminal ground floor, for carry on and then you go up escalator into the terminal to check in.
