Oh dear God...don't get me started on BC and moving luggage. We moved from BC over to POR a few years ago. I handed my 2 bags off to Bell Services at 7:45 that morning. I was told our bags should be at POR by 2ish. We went to a park, then headed to POR around 1ish. We could have gotten into a room but they offered us another one if we choose to wait. No big deal, we would wait. We grabbed some lunch, and then wandered around the resort. At about 2:30 we checked to see if our bags had been brought over yet since it was extremely hot/humid and we really wanted to swim. Nope, no bags yet. Okay, fine.
Well we checked back about 4ish, our room was finally ready. We called to see if our bags had been delivered. Nope. Luggage Assistence at POR called over to BC to see if there was a problem. No problem they said, just way too busy to make a luggage transfer run yet!! Are you kidding me???? 8 hrs and still no bags??? Okay....we were told to check in an hour or so, so we went back to our room to relax where it was at least cooler. Called again...nope, no bags and they made another call for us over to BC. The poor POR CMs were getting really annoyed at this point. They were very embarrassed. Well, I got a call at about 6ish telling me that they were bringing our bags over to our room. I told them I would walk over and get them. Oh no, they said, you stay right where you are..you've been inconvenienced enough. When I tried to tip the porter, he just looked at me and said...'there is no way I am taking a tip for such awful service. Have a good evening.'' and off he went.
I routinely hand off my luggage about 7:30ish. And I have never been able to get that luggage until late afternoon...usually no sooner than 5ish. Drives me nuts. I now take a bag with anything I may need for the rest of the day, with me to the parks. It's almost worth it to use a cab to get over to the new resort...at least you know your bags will just be in storage at the resort you are currently at, in case you need something out of the bags.
