Luggage Lockers?

Are there lockers at DL's maingate that can fit a standard rolling carry-on suitcase?

There are some lockers in the picnic area that is to the left of the DL entrance. I have heard that people put small coolers in there. Those might be big enough.

Hopefully, someone with more experience can chime in.

I'm only able to spend the day at DL after getting in off of a 3-Day cruise. It's my first cruise and my first solo trip anywhere in a long time.

We've used those lockers in the past (about 5 years ago), and I don't think they are big enough for a rolling carry-on. The ice chests I've seen put in them are the sort that would hold a 12 pack of soda - not much larger. That picnic area used to be much easier to access than it is now. I believe the last time we tried to use it, the entrance to it had been moved to the outside of the security check area (used to be by the entrance to the bathrooms by the guest services window). May have changed in the past year, as we haven't tried to use it since Fall 2006.

I know nothing about the lockers.

But the picnic area is on the DTD side of bag check, over to the left behind some trees. Tricky to find, but it's definitely there, at least as of 1/26/08.

There are lockers INSIDE the security area - they are still located next to the restrooms. I don't think there are lockers which are accessible from the picnic area, but I'm not positive about that. I found a couple web sites that report the dimensions of the largest lockers to be 16" x 23" x, 23" - so if your suitcase fits in that you should be ok. Though lockers sometimes get filled up, and if you're not there early you might not get one of the large ones.

I think the Desert Inn and Suites across the street has a locker room. Wonder if you can use them if you don't stay there. They seemed larger.

There used to be about a dozen lockers in the picnic area that were larger than the "large" ones inside the security area by the bathrooms. I think the measurements posted may be the size of the biggest ones over by the picnic area.

Maybe you could drop your luggage with the bell hop at GC or DL. They held our luggage for the day after we checked out. They never asked if we were staying there. They just gave us a claim check

Ballerinamom, good idea about the DL hotel, as that is where Super Shuttle is picking me up for my ride to SNA.
