Hi,
Tickets arrived yesterday :cool1: That's the good news.
Unfortunately no luggage labels :confused3 That's the bad news.
Went into our local travel agents to ask for some labels. "Sorry can't do that" came the reply "try tying a coloured ribbon to your case". :rotfl2:
Anyway just wondering if anybody else has come across this problem and if so where can you get decent labels from?

WHSmiths or Woolies sell luggage labels (thick paper ones). We used some last year when Virgin failed to send us enough.

We go on Wednesday and we did not get any luggage labels. TA said Monarch don't send them any more. I have phoned them and they said we can get some from airport. We are going down to Manchester on Tuesday so will try then!

:wave2:

Hiya

Thats ridiculous dont do them no more. When we have been before the TA has provided us with tags this from Thomas Cook and Going Places. Have you tried any of these TA.

hi there , you could always make your own .....

use microsoft paint or any graphics package ...download a few disney images etc etc ..and include details of flights and a contact number for youself....

you can make ones for your outward flight and the return leg or make the labels one side outward and the other homeward.....

print off and then enclose them in clear sticky transpaseal ..woolies or any stationary shop sells it...and attach with abit of colour string or wool or ribbon...

I did this for our first trip to disneyworld back in 2000 to get my daughter in the holiday mood and we have done it for everytip we go on ..we just make the labels suit the destination ..

its lots of fun and also it makes your case easyily recognisable when they come of the plane ..

last november virgin gave us extra labels when we checked in.... they only sent us 4 and we were a party of 5 :confused3

Thanks everyone for the helpful tips. I did try other TA's but they just gave me the brush off.
I think the idea about making my own is favourite, but I don't need getting in the holiday mood, I've been there for months LOL ;)

This is exactly what we do for DD - great minds think alike, Harry ;) It all adds to the fun of the holiday choosing which pictures match the destinations.

Gosh! you have very unfriendly travel agents! I give out labels left right and centre even for non clients, strictly speaking airlines don't require them any more but you should still be able to ask for some!
I'd go by the other posters suggestion of making your own

the best laugh of all was that i over did it back in 2000 .well was a bit carried away with the thought of a first trip to disney and i made the luggage labels a bit on the big side ......the missus want too chuffed till we got to the airport and everyone was commenting on what a great idea ......

when we got to the hotel ...disney all stars she was ven less impressed when i produced two t shirts i had made for her an me with homemade transfers on it saying ....

well thats another story suffice to say like the labels i had gone over the score a bit ..
cheers the noo

Ha ha! I just spent all yesterday making big colourful labels for everyone's bags and cases with Disney characters all over :0)

Getting everyone in the Disney spirit from the off - and I want people to notice them :0)
