Southern California Luggage in car at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Do you think it would be ok to leave our luggage in the car while we go to Six Flags?
We would be staying in Santa Barbara the night before & then heading to Santa Monica for 3 nights. My other option is to spend the night in the Six Flags area having done the park then he'd to Santa Monica for 2 nights; this would give us the option of leaving luggage at the hotel on the way to the park.

Do you have a real trunk in the car? You don't want anyone to know about the luggage. I think the MM area is pretty sketchy.

Absolutely not! It is not located in the greatest area and they have had problems with gang members in the parks for years. I grew up in Southern California and saw it go really downhill; I wouldn't even visit there now.

thanks for the reply, will go with my instincts & book a hotel. Our hire car should be a 7 seat SUV so no proper trunk.
