Hello everyone!! ( at least I hope there will be an everyone)..
I just recently returned from my 13th Disney Trip!! It was 7 months in the making and the cast of characters included me( mom, wife and friend) ha Christine.. Dh, Doug (hubby, daddy and friend) and DS, Logan ( my love my life my 6 year old baby who also was the biggest PITA on this trip)..
When: April 17th thru April 24th
Where: Beach Club.. Yeehaaaa
Why? Because we love Disney.. Duh:woohoo:

Let me begin by saying.. I no longer have a working computer or laptop.. Only an IPad and although I am not computer illiterate, I can't figure out how to attach the pictures from photobucket.. So let me warn you now, you may be just looking at my words.. :rotfl2:

As I stated above the trip was lucky number 13. Last May we went on the most amazing split stay ( BW and Poly) it really was a dream trip.. And then in early September I started to really get the bug to come back and even though we were going to be sacrificing ( think no new Livingroom set and sitting on a 14 year old couch that has wood holding it up) we figured what the heck? You only live once and our little man is only going to be little for so long..

I dont think of myself of as a Disney snob, after all I have stayed everywhere.. On property, off property, and way way off property.. :lmao:
But, last year really made me crave staying at a Deluxe.. And since I live in the North and having the warmth and sunshine in florida is so important it wasn't even a question where we would stay.. beach club.. I needed to see for myself what all this SAB hype was all about..
I began the planning.. Made my dining 180 days out and was well on my way to the perfect vacation.. Ta ta da.. Then the news of the SAB rehab comes and throws me into a tizzy.. I was so sad thinking I was going to be confined to a small area and 60% of the pool was going to be closed. I got nervous and called guest services.. I the blink of an eye I was switched to the Poly.. I got off the phone still kind of stunned. It took me 4 days, but I had what I could only describe as buyers remorse. As much as I love the Poly, I was staying at the BC for more than just SAB and it took me finding the BC/YC thread and reading some awesome disers info that got me to call guest services back and beg them to find me a room again at BC.. they did.. And I am glad they did.. sAB rehab was completely done by the day we got there.. :goodvibes

So, we had our flight booked for months. I love the early direct flights. It's less than 3 hours from Boston and that gives us pretty much an entire day our first day. Problem is we live about 45 minutes north of Boston and getting to the airport in time for or flight requires us to get up in the middle of the night a:eek:

So this time we decided to stay in a hotel at the airport so we could at least get up around 5:00am..

April 16th we headed into Boston. What was even better about heading to Boston and that it was the beginning of our vacation was that today was Marathon Monday.. If you are not from Boston you just don't know what you are missing. Boston comes alive. To make this day even better we were having unseasonable hot hot hot weather.. Think 90's.. Great for me not so great for the runners:sick:
:offtopic: if you ever get the chance to come to the Boston marathon jump on it it's an amazing event and a great way to see the City.
So, we checked into our hotel, the Boston harborside.. We had a great view of Boston and the waterfront. But, we didn't want to be stuck there. We took a water taxi over to a place called Rowes wharf and actually did she tourist stuff. Ate on the waterfront and headed over the Fanueil Hall( one of the oldest marketplaces in the US) this stop was done mainly because as we left our room we had our first casualty. Logan's sunglasses. He is a kid that pretty much always wears that and hats so we knew we had to get him a pair. A couple of hours baking in the 90 degree weather(obviously prepping) and we were ready to head back to our Hotel to try and get to bed early...

Hubby and I both woke up without the alarm at 4:00am:scared1: Logan woke up on his own and we were out the door by 5:00 am for our 7:10am flight.
Doug thought we needed extra time because there was 3 of us and we had 3 huge suitcases, 3 carry-ons, 2 backpacks and a purse.. :scared1:
I still have no idea what I was thinking. Were we moving? :confused3 or just going away on vacation? :lmao:
I needed a good coffee to set my trip off on the right foot. Unfortunately, after standing in line at the check in counter and then security, I come to find that there is just a little cart with awful cart food and really not good coffee.. Of course, this was the beginning of 7 days of awful coffee.. Seriously, what does a girl need to do to get a good cup of coffee??
We landed without incident which is always great because I am not the best flier and we were headed to one of my favorite places.. ME terminal.. Continued next page..

So, we got to ME and headed to the BC/YC swan/dolphin/BW line.. This is one line I dont mind standing in.. The bus came in about 2 minutes.. And we only waited about 15 minutes and we were on our way.
We got to the BC at about 11:30am.. Not too shabby!! We still had all day. Of course, I had planned our day and we were thinking SAB.. I went to check in and as the CM was getting all my info and checking us in she told me " your room is ready now".. I almost walked away and then realized I just wanted to make sure that I got a room with a balcony.. I hadn't.. So, she called and said that now the room wasnt ready so they would text me when it was ready. We checked our carry-ons in at bell services and then went to check out SAB. We came upon Beaches and Cream and decided that we were so hungry!!!popcorn::
We sat down and ordered.. Cherry coke for me, dh got a diet and our little man a sprite and then all of us burgers. Maybe it was the fact that we hadn't really eaten, but I have to say, I don't know what all the belly-aching is about their food. Our burgers were SO good!!! I ate every bit!! So didn't my two boys.. We were on the dining plan and were asked if we wanted dessert but we were too full. What I really liked about our waitress was when we said NO dessert she said how about a cookie to take with you? We said ok. Well, she packed 6 cookies :woohoo: we used those for snacks throughout the week.
After lunch we wanted to pick up our mugs so we headed to the marketplace. I have to tell you. And please don't flame me:duck:.. I wasn't thrilled with it. I felt like there were not a lot of choices, and because it shares with the YC is sold get really really congested.. ( I will talk about this more later in the report, but 2 separate days I came to get coffee for dh and me and I got back upstairs and took one sip to find out that the cream was bad:sick:)
While in the Marketplace I got the text from the front desk..:cool1::cool1:
4530 was our room number.. It was a corner room next to the electrical room.. ( which was really great when we were yelling at Logan for not behaving)
I was excited to see what my balcony was looking out at.. So, ok it wasn't looking out over much except foliage. I could see the top of the Eiffel tower, and spaceship earth.. But even better than that was my balcony was like 40 ft long.. And I am not exaggerating.. I could have had a party there!! Although I will tell you having something awesome to look at does made me use it much more last time than this, but it was still awesome....
We just had about 5 minutes to look around and our luggage showed up.. :woohoo:
So I got the boys in gear, got our suits on and headed for our first experience with SAB.. It was about 88 degrees.. We found a table and chairs facing the kiddie sand bottom pool. Loved this area. I could watch Logan and still lay and get some rays.. :cool1:
I guess I have a lot to say but I'm tired tonight.. I will write more tomorrow..
