Lucky #13 (NEW 6/5 PG.15 Goodbye everybody!)

Inspired by our dear Twingle, I thought I’d show you my planning notebook. Work is trying to kill me so I’m keeping my mind on better things. Here’s the cover.

I’ve divided it into sections.

TRAVEL; maps, exit numbers for gas rest areas, map of WDW property (Pop Century has the best map on the back of their resort map)
RESORT: Our confirmation paper and some tips I’ve gathered about SSR
PARKS: Hours and a list of attractions available during EMH.
FOOD: List of ADRs and confirmation numbers
SCHEDULE: (I’m proud of this one.) A very long piece of paper with a column for each day and our plans, a page for each day with Tour Guide Mike’s recommendations

KSC: info for our trip to Kennedy Space Center (not much in this one)
ODDS AND ENDS: Small manila envelopes with holes punched to keep receipts, maps and other stuff I might want to use for scrapbooking and research for future trips, and info about Disney Outlets.

Sorry the pictures are a bit wonky!
I also have a 4*6 cards for each day with our ADR confirmation number on them and a general plan with a few particulars (like we want to see the lady at Japan that makes candy so I’ve got her written on the appropriate card.)
So there it is. The fun thing about it is once this trip is over I can take the stuff out and started adding for the next trip. It’s kind of like my own Passporter. (although I have one of those too.)

It is an awesome trick no jokes. I laminated cards with our ADR's park hours etc for our last trip and put them on a key ring. DH thought I was nuts but there are lots of us obsessive planners out there. You go girl. Be proud to carry your laminated fruits of your labor

Loverley binder! How big is that puppy? Are you going to bring it into the parks? Because if so, I'll be doing this

Really, you can never be too prepared! I love the idea of laminating cards and putting them on a keychain. Ohhh - could get a special Disney keychain!

Ohhhh great idea!!! Mine was just a boring one with a clip thingy so you could clip it to something. Now an excuse to go to the Disney Store for some more pre trip shopping

That is a great binder!!! I have been very unoriginal and have just writing everything in my Passporter but maybe I will jump on the bandwagon and make something myself. Hmmmm I do have tomorrow off and all day.

Did you guys by any chance catch the Behind The Scene's of WDW on Travel Channel today??? it was an updated one and was really good. I just get so excited when talking, reading, and seeing anything about Disney.

No, it stays in the room, but I'll have my laminated park cards with me. Oh Yeah!

I watched and taped it the other day when it was on. I missed Yacht and Beach club on Great Hotels, though. (I think that was today....) I love watching that stuff.

I was reading MNRMommy's trip report and I am in awe of all her t shirts! She did one for every day! So I broke down and made one more set of shirts. I'm hoping to post a pic tonight. It's a cutiesnana design with our names and a number like a jersey.

Awwww thanks for the T-shirt praise. I am now in possesion of the supplies to make the ones you told me about so the enabling is in full force.

I also watched Star Wars: The legacy revealed last night. I am at my Mom's and she had no idea the hidden meanings behind the movies. She may even watch them now.

Here they are! Yet another set of trip shirts. The design is on the back. I wish I could come up some witty Team name to put on the front, you know a little emblem where the pocket would be? Anyway, I think they are cute and Jake said they are acceptable so that makes three new shirts!

Any good Team names ideas out there? I'm taking all suggestions.

Oh....and I love the number 13!! It is our anniversary - we got married 5/13/00 & some family members were convinced that we should pick a different weekend just because it was on the 13th! I just know you'll have an awesome trip!

Welcome!! I'm glad you didn't listen to those family members! There's absolutely nothing wrong with 13! But we are a little weird. "Bad things" always seem to bring the best luck for us. Yesterday a black cat ran in front of our car (Lots of room, no danger) and DH said, "Yippee!" A good trip omen!
