We've been to hddr twice, with 3 kids under 7 and they all have loved it. we all really like it and have been seated at the front, up to the stage. The kids are so well entertained and eat the food...they actually brought us some mac n cheese and cole slaw last time!

Well, my husband wants to try the Luau at the Polynesian this time around, but the reviews I've read don't seem as positive as with hddr. For $150, I want to have a good time and with hddr i know what I'm getting. Is it worth it to try something new? We will be staying at the WL, so getting to the Poly isn't that bad. All thoughts appreciated! Thanks

I haven't been to the Luau either, but one thing to consider is it could be canceled for rain (it is outside)

The Luau is awesome! MY DD-9 did it last year and asked specifically to do it again when we went this year. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time but would do it again. We've done the HDD also, and loved it and will again. I would suggest, the Luau if you haven't done it yet!

We did it back in '93 (I was 11). We've never done it since. I didn't care for the food and I don't know if it's changed but they had us sit with other families at long tables which none of us cared for. We do HDDR everytime we go. I like sitting inside in the A/C, at individual tables, and good food/entertainment. Just my $.02.

I went last year and the show has been redone a few years ago and renamed. The food is very very good. No bugs at all. The entertainment is outstanding! Be sure to watch Lilo & Stitch before you go!
