I went to the Luau last May with my two daughters (25 and 21) and my mother (72). We had the Level 2 seating and had a very decent view of the show. Like several others have said, the first half of the show was kind of boring for the four of us. While there, the MK fireworks started and we had a great view of those and were much more fascinated with that than the show we paid for. However, the second half of the show was really, really good. The cast members performed several different hula dances from Hawaii and the South Pacific. The music was great two. The firedancer was excellent.
We absolutely loved the food. I know some don't care much for it, but it was very delicious and lots of it. The dessert was not so great. The Luau won't be a "must-do" for every trip, but I will definitely go again, specifically for the food and the second half of the show.
