Does anyone have a picture of this appetizer? I know...weird question but we're picky eaters. If you can tell me more about it or show me a pic that would be super! :thumbsup2

Tavern Fried Cheese from LTT, yummy!

I'm curious. Basically it looks like it's mozzarella sticks (6) and deep fried cheese curds (7)? Is that what the taste is similar to?

Looks good! We'll be eating at LTT and having the fried cheese. Looks like a pretty generous portion too. Thanks for sharing the pics. :thumbsup2

I don't know what it says on allears, but we just went a few weeks ago and it's an appetizer for 2. That's why the portion is so big. If you're not on the DxDP, then it's cool, but I was on it and I couldn't order it just for myself on the plan.

The ones on the right are mozzerella. The smaller ones on the left, I was told, are white cheddar and they are AWESOME!!!!!

The batter is different from typical fried cheese. It reminds me of a "fish-fry" kind of batter. We always order this and think it's yummy! :thumbsup2

Looks good...but now I have to ask.

If you're on Deluxe Dining you can't get this for one person!? They make it count as two or don't offer it at all?

Is it still $5.49? We might just stop in here for apps.

It is FANTASTIC!! I'm not a big cheese fan, or fried cheese fan, but I get it every time we go. It seemed bigger a few weeks ago then it was in October and it was more expensive (around $8?). It is big enough for two people though.

Hey, that looks really tasty... Thanks for posting the picture! I love fried cheese and cheese sticks, and that dish looks AMAZING! I better put this on our itinerary; I can't wait to stop by and taste them at the end of this month.

:offtopic: We actually tried the fish at LTT right after we got engaged :thumbsup2, but we weren't too thrilled with it. (There are better places to get fish and chips, like the UK.)

Hmmm.... I sure hope it's bigger for $8! I have my receipt from Dec. 24, 2008, and it was $5.49 and I'd say the portion was as shown in the picture in the post above. I'm fine with a larger portion because my family of 4 shares 1 order (we're not on DDP) and we could use a little more, but I sure hope they didn't just raise the price and keep the same portion size!

They keep doing things like that and drastically devaluing their food. I sure miss the smores at Prime Time Cafe that used to be exactlyl twice as large as they are now! We don't order them any more just because we know they're effectively twice as expensive!

Disney must think they're in big oil! :rotfl2: Some of the pricing is a little ridiculous. Okay, extremely ridiculous! Seems like in about 5 years they have went from @ $15.99 for a character breakfast to $28.99 in some cases! And then they go on to add this Holiday surcharge! :lmao: Geez. They have already priced themselves out of the average families vacation allowance. We're in a horrible recession and they raise prices!? This is when most people have sales to lure people in. :confused3

The Tavern Cheese does look yummy though! I plan to try it in March. I'll be back with more pictures and a pricing update if something has changed! :thumbsup2

Prime Time moved from desserts in sizes meant to be shared to single portion sizes after the DDP ensured that most diners would be ordering their own desserts. Don't think they lessened the prices much if at all though.

No, they didn't lower the price at all, so they effectively doubled the price for those of us (like myself) not on the DDP! I wish the DDP would just go away...
