I had the most awful disney dining experience ever at LTT a couple weeks ago. We had originally wanted to go to Crystal Palace, but because of the renovations we booked at LTT since we wanted to do character dining at MK. We checked in a few minutes early and I mentioned that we were going to be waiting right outside the door since my nephew was asleep in the stroller and there wasn't anywhere to really even stand inside. The lady responded that one member of our party would need to wait inside so we could hear our name being called. There were only 3 of us including my 16mo nephew, so we all just waited inside since we didn't want to wait separately. I just thought it was weird that they didn't have a way they could note that we'd be right outside the door, especially since the lady next to us talking to another family that was trying to get in early so they could see spectro was telling that family that they could wait outside on the porch during spectro and then be seated after it was over
We were seated within 10 minutes, our server took our drink orders and brought us our salad and bread. That was when he would literally drop off the face of the planet. We were so glad the characters were there to distract my nephew because he was hungry and we waited so long to see our server again that all the characters came around once, and Dale was already back for his second time around when our server finally surfaced and asked if we were ready for our dinner... yeah, it's been half an hour since we got out salad
We were getting nervous because we were trying to finish and get to spectro on time, and it was now getting closer to 7. We tried to eat as fast as we could, but we didn't even have drinks and our server was no where to be seen again. Finally after waiting forever for our server to come back, and he still hadn't come back, my mom ended up just taking my nephew to go get a spot for spectro and buy a drink at a stand outside. I sat waiting to just get our bill. I didn't even care about dessert at that point. Finally another half an hour after we got our dinner he comes back and asks if we are done with our dinner plates, and asks if we are ready for dessert. I told him that I was just waiting for the bill since the rest of my party left to get a seat for spectro that was starting on MS at this point. He insisted that I get dessert to go, and disapeared for another 10 minutes. He came back with the bill and dessert to go, so I gave him our room card to take the ddp credits from and it took him another 10 minutes to get back with the receipt. I ended up getting out of the restaurant just in time to catch with Spectro coming through frontierland. We had booked our reservation so we'd have enough time to get to spectro, but obviously we couldn't have foreseen their terrible service.
I tried to complain to some of the hostesses who were literally the only people I could flag down, but the two I talked to said they'd find our server and each time i'd see them walk around the corner and then quickly be headed back to the check in area. I've never had such horrible service, even if our server was overwhelmed with something, he could have let an manager or someone know so they could check on his tables. I heard the tables all around us complaining too about the poor service as well. I can honestly say i'll never be back there again...
