On a whim I went to our wireless carrier (Straight Talk) and typed in the zip code for USVI to see if there was coverage and it looks like there is! LTE no less! Am I crazy or has anyone else used their phones without getting charged extra in St. Thomas? That would be awesome if it were the case! Thanks for any advice!

Back in 2015, we were able to use AT&T phones on St. Thomas with no additional charge. It was counted as part of the regular plan.

I just double checked, and my current Verizon plan also offers coverage for St. Thomas with no additional charge. But only 3G coverage, not 4G.

Straight Talk runs off AT&T so maybe that's where LTE is coming from??

I have Verizon and data/text are on my regular plan but calls are more expensive.
