Calling all LSS Brides!

I just my LOA today ( yay) and as soon as I clear up some confusion on the hotel langauge, I will send my deposit off!

We are having it at the LSS salon on 21 October 2011. I am open to all comments about the venue.. good and bad so I can prepare

Things I should think about, know about, prepare for, etc.

Oh yeah.. and pictures would be wonderful too!

We are having our reception there four days after you! yay!

I have have heard many people say 'it's too dark/hard to photograph', but in my opinion, it's going to be dark in any evening reception space...so to me that's no big deal as long as you have a good photographer

The setup of the tables isn't like the traditional ballroom setup, but - it's not a traditional space, so that's okay.

We are having our cocktail hour in the separate space when you first enter LSS.

Many brides say it is a space unlike any other and it sounds like it's perfect for the non-traditional bridal type and really is a great space (the fish tanks)!

I read the same issue about the dark, but like you said with a good photographer I am sure they will come out fine. I love the fact that the set up is different and what not – it’s what lured me to the place I love that its soo different and non-traditional. We tried for months to conform to the more “traditional and expected wedding “and just could not do it.

We wanted a different wedding and we are definitely getting it!

Are you having music/dj/band?

Have you visited it yet? I don't think a planning session in person is in the cards for us, however we are down there for a mini trip the end of April and I am hoping we can just go see the space.

why do you say it isn't in the cards? If you are going to be in WDW it would be a great opportunity to do a food and cake tasting

We also loved it because the whole non-traditional thing!

We will be also looking at the space while we are there in the beginning of May and will take pics and video to share!

DisneyBride- we are only going down for a long weekend trip to see the flower show, and plus a friend of ours is coming with is- I feel bad dragging him to a cake tasting, and all those other wonderful wedding activities. If I just get to see the place I will be happy

If I don't get to see it and will lurk over to your pj and hope you have some pictures up

Are you thinking about getting scuba mickey? I really want it, but its like 1300 for a 20 minute stint.... sigh.... I wish I was rich

I was married there in October 2006. If I remember right, I heard them say they can turn up the lights.

We had Scuba Mickey. I wouldn't change that for the world either. You wouldn't believe the number of faces pressed to the glass to watch him (adults and children).

I will also include some pictures from my planning session. As I said in my last post, that I think they can turn up the lights a bit. I think they actually did it during our site visit.

I hope these pictures aren't too big.
