Lower than low resales...

Oh c'mon...

I never once said SSR needed to eliminate parking lots. I said DVC should have used the same forethought while designing SSR as they used when they built Port Orleans - a "moderate" resort.

PO has parking lots right outside each of the guest room buildings so you can park near your room. But instead of dropping those parking lots in a haphazard way they placed them on the perimeter of the resort leaving the inside of the property unscathed.

The inside of the resort resembles a giant lushly landscaped park. Not to mention the buildings are closer to the main pool and the restaurants.

It's common sense stuff that they didn't exercise while building SSR and that's my main gripe with the entire SSR development.

If I may, I'd like to suggest staying at the Boardwalk if someone in your party is using a wheel chair.

We took my mother in law (who uses a wheel chair) last year and it was great to have the free valet parking right at the front of the resort.

Plus, when she wanted to go sit by the pool, or head to a restaurant, it was a convenient elevator ride for her. No need to cross roads etc.

Actually I don't mind people attacking me personally:mad:  I just wish a group of adults ;) ;) could find a way :3dglasses to have a conversation :hyper2: without resorting to all of these overly cute :ewok: :ewok: : icons. :jumping1: They're not only distracting :love1: :drinking1  But some people don't know how to use them :donald: : :yo-yo: properly

Like when someone hasn't even said something funny and drops in these:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Seems like a crutch to me when you can't think of something interesting to write on your own:fish: :flower1: :squirrel: :cold: :umbrella: :dog:: :mickeyjum

Not only can you NOT accept and respect that other people can have opinions different than yours, but now you are just trying to take some of the fun out of posting. :badpc:

6. If you bought there I'm not suggesting you're a moron. I would have fallen for the same bait and switch too if I hadn't already owned elsewhere.

I chose to rent points to stay at SSR this past August, I enjoy it very much but don't want to own there. That's my own opinion. As much as this Brian poster has annoyed a lot of you, I do want to make it clear that I for one was on a DVC tour in May and feel like the whole bait & switch tactic was being played by our "guide". He told us that we'd have no problem staying anywhere else and that we must be rich to consider buyin AKV (which was $2 more for the current incentives). I called my dad who told me about what SSR was selling for on the resale market and that I should either buy AKV bc I wanted to stay there or wait for my Contemporary. I waited. However, I knew NOTHING about DVC at the time and called my father who had bought into OKW in1994. Had I not, I would have been a cranky owner of SSR. I would prefer to own somewhere that I couldn't automatically get at 7 months.

You might have even been "cranky" enough to put your points on the open market at a discounted price so you could buy into AKV or BLT.

Since this thread has strayed so far off topic, and is no longer discussing resales, I'm going to close it.
