Lower prices or discounts at the Dolphin for November?

We currently have reservations at the Dolphin, and I noticed that the prices have decreased slightly since we booked - have any of you had success in finding any of the discounts for the Nov 9th time frame? Thanks. Caroline

I got the nurses discount for the nights of the 4th , 5th and 6th of November. November 3rd was totally booked, no rooms period! DH and I were going to stay the night of Nov. 7th also and the price jumped back up to $239.00, so we're just staying the 3. Not sure about after that.

Does the Swan/Dolphin require a downpayment of one night, if you use the teacher/nurse discount? Or do they have you pay for your whole trip?

To the best of my knowledge, they only take your credit card info and use it to hold the room until you check in, or in some cases, if someone defaults on the actual check-in . I have never noticed my card being charged before check-in. Caroline

I had to put one night's deposit when we stayed at the Dolphin 2 years ago and I had to do the same for the Swan for December.

Yes, I just booked the Swan (on the teacher's rate) for Dec. and had to put down one night's deposit. The rest is due upon check-in.

After we booked our room at the swan a while later we noticed too that the internet price was lower for some of our days that we didnt get the govt. discount for. DH called the swan directly and they said if we brought the printout they would honor the lower internet price versus what was on our confirmation. This was in april, but we ended going for the poly with a good ap discount.
