I have had the worst luck this week. I have made offers on at least five 50-100 point resales (mainly SSR) with no luck. They all vanished...I was using and had contacted 3 timeshare companies.
Man...I thought buying resale was going to be easier but no. I must say that buying direct is much, much easier (but more expensive) Everyone is trying to get in before March.
Anyone else having hard time finding a lower point resale?

I am! I definitley noticed this. We want to do an add-on before March 20th but may end up just buying through Disney. We only want 25-50 points.

Small contracts have always sold quickly.

We started out looking for a 50-85 point contract at HHI and planned to bank/borrow/use every 3 years, but when we look at the cost of buying a contract that small - we quickly started looking at larger contract. YES we will be paying more in maint. fees than we would, but after running the numbers (I have an excel spreadsheet format that I use to calculate lifetime ownership cost) we came out lowering our lifetime cost per point by almost $2.00 buying a larger contract.

So if you are looking at smaller contracts - run the numbers and make sure you aren't giving yourself less for more!

Bigger contracts are less expensive than smaller ones - and you won't have as hard of a time getting your offer accepted.

I started out looking for 50 point add-on or a 100-point resale. Ended up offering on a 160-point contract, and I think I already have the 2011 points spent :lmao:.

Those smaller contracts go quickly, so good luck!

I'm in the same boat. I don't know where we'll end up, but we started with the 40 point add-on, then looked at 100 point resale, now considering 120 point resale. Decisions, decisions.... :)

It sounds like we all have the same good intentions and started out with a 'modest' add on just to expand our options, or to get just a few extra points to bump up into the next view category - but ended up turning modest add on into an extra trip..... or two.... or three....

LOLOL

Accidental purchase?!?!

Perhaps! :confused3

Who am I kidding????
