Lower Point Requirements @ DLR !

Someone mentioned Mary's page for tickets?

Could someone tell me what that is?

Thanks,

Lauren

Just got off the phone with Member Services..... ONLY the DL Hotel has had a point reduction. There isn't and won't be a reduction at PP or GC. The update has been applied to the points chart online.

Sorry folks, no other reductions!.... (boy am I sorry... I wanted PP!)

Sorry if this was already asked-is that point reduction for weekends also?
And will this be going on for the duration of the happiest celebration or will it just be through 2005? Thinking of some options.

Here's the updated DL Hotel point chart (best I can do without formatting):

ROOM.......5/5-7/2......7/3-8/27...1/4-3/17...11/22-11/26...1/1-1/3
DL..........8/28-11/21..................4/10-5/4...12/23-12/31..3/18-4/9
Hotel......11/27-12/22

Std View........23.............29............31..............32.............42

Premium.........26.............35............35..............38.............51

Concierge.......42.............51............56..............56.............75

The DL points don't increase on weekends like at WDW. According to the DVC member site, the reduction is only during the Happiest Celebration on Earth.

October standard room over the 10/21 to 10/23 weekend is running at $260 night before tax. 23 points is a great deal.

We are going in November and for Friday night the 23 points for Friday night are the same as the points needed in a studio @ BWV for Friday night! Doesn't get much better than this! :cool1:

Too bad that they didn't include GC. We have reservations for there in August. Now if I try to switch to DLH I will have a bunch of points in reservation status. Oh well, guess we'll stick with GC. Thanks for all the info!

Are you sure the points would go in reservation status? I would call if you haven't already and verify. People that already had ressies @ DLH with the higher point requirements are getting the extra points back and can bank them. Perhaps they are making exceptions for GC ressies that get changed to DLH.

They would go into holding. The reservation is at a different hotel and the points were set months ago. I am surprised the folks who had ressies at the DLH are getting points returned. That was very nice of DVC because they could have kept them.

The other option would be to extend the stay a day or whatever the points savings would be.

and as an added note, those that have upcoming reservations for the Disneyland Hotel or are thinking of it, keep your eyes and ears open. Particularly around June 1st. ;)

It's not nice to tease...care to share what you know? ;)

Wish they had lowered all of the point requirements in DL. We are booked at the GC and those points stayed the same. :sad2:

Yes, please share! No fare to tease!

We're staying at DLH for two nights Oct.2nd + 3rd, resies made back in Jan. they just refunded us 18 points on a delux view room. Which we put into our 2005 year Our year runs from Dec 2005 to Dec 2006. 18 point means an extra day at Disney
