Lower Crowds or Candlelight Processional?

I had hoped this would be my year to see the Candlelight Processional as we are signed up for a cruise arriving at Port Canaveral on December 3. Just had the delightful news that our next grand baby is due December 8. So I’m wondering if I just go to WDW before the cruise in mid November (@11-15) as crowds will presumably be lower then. WWYD?

That's Veteran's Day and I think maybe "Jersey week".

Crowds will not be lower in November. If you want to see CP and you think the timing will work with the birth of your grandchild, I would stick to your December date. You will also avoid hurricane season in Dec.

Babies have their own time schedule and could very easily come during your cruise/trip. Congratulations! I think you’ve got quite a happy conundrum to figure out

Yes. Grand baby #1 was a week early so we are hoping we aren’t in the middle of the ocean when #2 comes. We don’t live particularly close so we aren’t on call to watch him when it’s time to go to the hospital, but I know I’ll want to go pretty soon after #2 comes along.

Jersey Week is the first full week of November so the week before. But it is the week of Veterans’ Day.

We opted to reschedule. Our trip was for late January 2025 and just found out due date is that week. We rebooked for December - probably more crowded, but didn't want to risk missing the date.

Depends on when in December - the first two weeks are usually relatively less crowded than most of the fall. The crowds start to build as Christmas and especially holiday breaks for schools get closer.

I’d do Nov as babies simply have no respect for our calendars. However, do not expect crowds to be lighter and do expect Veterans Day to quite busy.
