We are in the process of transitioning our 2 year old from a crib to a toddler bed. Are there railings on the bottom bunk? Does anyone have a picture of the Fantasy configuration? Is this something we should let the concierge team know in advance? Thank you!

There aren't any railings, but they might be able to attach one of those bed railings like they can for the top bed.

Hi our cabin host (magic) asked us if we wanted one for the bottom bunk when we asked him about the top - we didn't need it so not sure what they are like but they were an option.

We just asked after we boarded and it was no problem - it's a standard bed rail they put on. If you google "bottom bunk bed rail disney cruise" you'll see photos.

The first trip with our son, we waited until we got on board to ask for the bed rail and there were none available. We ended up doing a makeshift rail with our luggage and some extra pillows they brought us. The second time (and now the third), we made the request in advance so we didn't run into the same issue. On our itinerary on the app it has my son's name with 'bed rail' next to it.

On our first cruise there were Graco mesh bedrails available. These were the full sized ones you get in the store.

No pictures, but we had our just-turned 2yo in a lower bunk with a mesh rail. He did great, and he was still sleeping in a crib at home at the time. We did not request it ahead of time. We had actually requested a pack n play but our cabin attendant suggested the lower bunk to give us more room since we had a younger db already in a pack n play. It worked out great.
