The Northbridge Apartments is where professional interns live during their Disney Internship. The complex website (northbridgeapts.com) naturally makes the place look great. But I've seen a few comments around saying that it's "shady" or "too far from work." I just want to know what to expect before I get there...

Post here if you've lived in Northbridge, know someone who has, or just have some relevant information!!

Thank you!!!

Compared to the other apartment complexes near Disney, its an absolute disgrace.

The grounds arent very well maintained and it seems a lower class of society lives in that area. You will be extrememly close to the huge local mall, but thats not really a convenience.

Depending on where you work during your PI, you could be almost 1 hour away from your work.

For example, you have to deal with traffic on I-4 towards downtown Orlando. If you work any type of normal hours where traffic would be a pain, you can tack on more time to get to work.

You can find something cheaper and alot nicer MUCH closer to the WDW complex than that pile of trash they call Northbridge. Pictures just do not do the complex justice.

I know many people that live at Northbridge , that once they see what all the other complexes are like much closer to Disney, do any and everything possible to get out of there.

There are about 10 apartment / condiminium complexes that are all around exit 68 that are very nice to live in, very close to Disney, and at least 5x better than anything Northbridge has to offer.

Wow... thanks for the info!!

Do you have any names of places that would be better? And affordable- I don't want to spend ALL of my salary on my apartment...

Anyone else have suggestions or opinions??

Take a look at Craigslist. You'll need to pull together a band of roommates for some places, but quite a few are within reach. A couple of my friends got into a nice large town home in Celebration, each of having their own room (one couple sharing a room) for about $360/month. Pretty good deal.

If I get a PI this June, I would love to find others to room with! I would be looking for a place with no drugs or drama!
