Hey,
I don't eat a lot of sugar in my diet. I have never been to Disney World, but will be going in November. Are there any desserts with low sugar or no sugar added?
Thanks!

There are some. Table service restaurants that did a great job - Concourse and Alfredo's, counter services places have sugar free brownies and either sugar free or no sugar added parfaits - Cosmic Rays, Electic Umbrella. I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I don't know about the sugar of things, but most places have healthier choices, like fruit plates and such. We usually dont have dessert at the resturaunts. The kids and DH get something from a bakery or an ice cream cart or such and if I want to abstain, I duck into a store or something while they eat.

Many of the restaurants offer sugar free cheesecake for dessert. It's usually not on the menu (or out on the buffet table) but if you ask, they usually have it back in the kitchen. :)

Glad to hear! I'm on a low sugar diet as well...I guess all diets are ;-)
Thanks everyone!

Ronda you are so right I had no problems I had it noted on my ADR's that I was diabetic and they offered me what they had that was sugar free. You can also call ahead and talk to the chef and they will help you out with something. The cheesecake at 50's PT was so gooooood and sugar free.

When making your dining reservations, let them know you're low/sugar free and they will be prepared at the TS to offer nicer sugar-free desserts. Otherwise, I think you'll have the same type of desserts throughout your stay.

I did make sure it was noted on my ADR's - some restaurants went above and beyond - Concourse, Alfredo's, and some were not accomidating at all - CRT, Chef's. This time, I will note on all my ADR's again but also call that am to the restaurant directly to confirm as well. There's nothing worse that sitting at a table where everyone is enjoying those wonderous desserts and not having anything yourself, or just a bowl of fruit!
