Loved, Loved, LOVED Coronado Springs!

I have a res at OKW (very pricey) but just found a much better deal at CS.

Was wondering what I should do as I didn't know anything about CS. Past 2 trips we stayed off the property.

Anymore advice about rooms, location, transportation etc. We were thinking about renting a car since it seems spread out. Also only a standard was available, what about views?

Is it peaceful, just my DH and me. Birthday/Anniversary trip.

would greatly appreciate more info.

Thanks!

My husband and I went last January- it was wonderful. We stayed in the Casitas (3)- really liked the location. If you want a king bed you can book a king bed- it was only $10 more per night. There is so much for scenery there. I personnally would not pay extra for a preferred room- and actually now that I think about it - I dont think CSR has preferred rooms. Maybe water veiw rooms- but I wouldnt pay for that either as you dont have balconies. I know in Casitas- all the courtyards have beautiful fountains and foilage. I really loved returning at night to the beautiful fountains and serenity at night.

I think if you are pool people I would look at cabannas and then Ranchos- if you want to be close to the pepper market I would go with Casitas

Thanks for that report! We are headed there for the Christmas holiday and I can't wait for it. It will be our first time there, as I've stayed many places in Disney, but never there for some reason. Based on all the good things I've heard, I have a feeling that we'll be back there to stay again.

Thanks for report! We are staying there for 1st time Chrismtas and I'm really happy to read all these awesome reviews. I think we're going to like it:wizard:

CSR has new pillow top mattresses and they are comfortable.

Hi hapi2bme -
we were at CSR for our DDs 14th birthday (the day we arrived). They gave her a birthday pin at the front desk. They also asked me what her favorite character is. I thought "this is great, they're going to make her a towel animal!" After 3 days, there was still no animal. So I called guest services and said "why did you ask me what her favorite character is?" and the next day a beautiful towel animal magically appeared :) She was soooo happy!

Another big :thumbsup2 for CSR. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed yourself. I think the same way about the business people in the hotel: They ALL wish they were me:earsboy:

wonderful wonderful beds as buzz says they are pillow top-15-17 inchs (guesstament)

For my birthday they gave me a pin to wear saying it was my birthday and said where it all week- my husband says I certainly got lots of miles out of that birthday- everyone says happy birthday to you! CM are certainly trained to see those buttons! I also got a bd card with balloons in our room from the favorite character they asked me about at the desk.

We are staying at CSR Dec 5-9 after 4 nights at AKL. We are so excited! We were going to do AKL for all 8 nights, but I couldn't not stay at CSR. It looks too beautiful to pass up. So we decided to do a split stay. Now we get the best of both worlds!!

We stayed there last year and loved it as well. We requested and got a room in Cabanas 8B which is next to El Centro and the bus stop.

This year we're trying POR and since we're going with another family who haven't been to Disney in more than 20 years I hope we have as nice an experience.

Thank you for the Info Bab31 :)
I look forward to the extra special treatment and the comfy beds...

Princess Amy, we'll be there at the same time...
Hope you have a great trip
