What a hoot. He and his crew made our flight down to Orlando the most fun we have ever had.
In his preflight message, he did the usual spiel about how long it would take, altitude, etc. Then he said to "keep all arms, legs and heads inside the moving vehicle at all times." My kids absolutely cracked up. What a great start to a trip to Orlando.
His crew was always joking, smiling, talking to the kids - it was just a fun plane and you could tell the crew was having fun.
Then when we landed and were taxiing into MCO, Captain Roy serenaded us with a hysterical song about Southwest and Orlando sung to the tune of the Three's Company theme song.
We arrived in Orlando with huge smiles on our faces. And since this was our first ever trip on SW, we were hoping such a fun airline was par for the course.
Alas, on our trip home, the pilot and crew were back to business. I hope we will be able to fly SW again and be able to be on Captain Roy's plane!
