Love that DVC!

So my DW says to me, "why don't you take DS(6) to Star Wars Weekend?" Who are you, and what have you done with my DW? The only date I could do it would be the first weekend, and I figured I would be lucky to find a studio available anywhere. Well I got two nights at BWV and one at AKV. I was shocked that 30 days out I was able to book a studio. So with annual passes in hand we just had to purchase airfare OOP. A big Hip Hip Hooray to DVC!!! Oh yeah, also for DW.

We did SW weekend last June and our boys loved it, we actually got to see the advanced presentation for this seasons clone wars and some of the actors (assoka sp) and the director and hear about the process. Not just fun but educational. The lines to make light sabers was the only negative, but I guess it is a must and the staff were great.

Have fun! That's good news about getting a studio 30 days out. I've wondered about that after joining DVC. For us, a last minute trip is usually 3 months out. We do plan to book our DVC vacations further in advance though.

About SWW -- this is our kids favorite (3 boys). We were originally scheduled to go this year, but changed our minds (and now regret it!). We've been 3 times in the past, the last time was 2006. We plan to go next year though and stay at BLT. Our kids will be 15, 13 and 9 and they can't wait! It's amazing that a movie that I saw in 1977 (the first PG movie my parents let me see ) is still so popular with my kids today.

I'm hoping that next year they roll out the new version of Star Tours at SWW. One can hope.
