It feels like I got lasik over night or something.

I am new to this cheats club and I can tell you I am fighting it tooth and nail. I keep finding myself raising my fist to the heavens when I can't read a label or instructions - especially when the lettering is not high contrast to the background. (the blue on blue writing ... just forget about it) My surrender is slow and tedious. IDK why because it is inevitable, stupid and stubborn I guess.

Maybe in a few years I will feel the same.

I still fight raising magnification.
And I realized the coolest thing lately. Sometimes trying to read really really small or faded type. If you put a pair of cheats over another pair of cheats, you might look stupid but you can read almost anything.

Honestly, I had no clue what you were talking about at first. I always call them readers.

I have about 12 pairs around the house even though my contacts and glasses are progressives. I feel like I just woke one day and couldn't read!

In my area, the term cheaters is used more readily than cheats. And of course, readers.

Fortunately, I don't need glasses to read. I'm actually the opposite - I wear them for distance (to drive, etc.), but when I'm reading or at work, I need to take them off or things are blurry.

Never heard them called that. Sounds like you are talking about new pair of glasses.
