if heading Orlando way .... be aware

here in Canaveral/Melbourne, Love Bug season is underway and in the last 24 hours has grown exponentially ... in spots, they are around in mass.

On a short drive today on 95, at times the splats were so frequent it was like driving in a heavy rain.

IMO heavier than the last few years . . . .

if not familiar, be ready for the ICH factor.

Not too bad, yet, here in Poinciana, but I did kill a bunch yesterday with my car on my way to and back from Hollywood Studios. Just a few at HS, I've seen worse.

I've only seen a few on WDW property so far -- no massive clouds.

There are 2 swarms a year, spring and fall.

That's one of the things I don't miss now that I'm in NC. Love bugs and afternoon thunder storms. I really do miss everything else.

I saw some in WDW this past week (got home tonight).

But this afternoon, we were crossing the bridge from the Contemporary to BLT, and saw many dead bugs on the ground....... I was thinking eww, but perhaps they were spraying or something.
