Yes, they can make there way to the ships, while in Port Canaveral. One of the explainations Ive heard regarding lovebugs, is that they love CO and CO2. Which is why the seem to hang around things that move or are fossil fuel powered. When DCL is in port, there are usually other ships as well, that have several engines running, and the lovebugs will find the ships. Other areas youll see them congregate is the rest areas on I4, or on the Turnpike. In all honesty, it really depends the time of year and how much or little rain we get. In some areas this past May it wasnt too bad, but others got hit pretty hard. Its kind of hard to predict how bad they will be in a given time frame.
