Love bugs??

I'm thinking of celebrating my 40th bday in September 2011 and it coincides with free dining but not sure which week would be better due to the love bugs. 9/18-9/26 or 9/25-10/3. It's me, DH and DS (3 at time of visit). I don't want them bothering my DS. We have gone at the end of September 2007 and if I remember, they were gone by the time we were leaving (few days into October) so I'm leaning towards that last week of September. Thinking of staying at CSR (never been there before) in a preferred room (worth it?) and there isn't much difference in price to go later.

Why do you have a problem with lovebugs? They really are only an issue when driving as they don't bite.

We saw some love bugs this year Sept.30-Oct.14.

I agree, they don't bite. They seem attracted to light colored clothes-landing on a lady with white pants and her friend with a white shirt.

I don't have a problem per se. Just find them annoying and don't want them landing on my DS. Also it's always tough finding a place to sit when they are out and about.

But we booked 9/25-10/3 at POFQ with free dining anyway. So I'll learn to live with them

We were there this past Sept. 18-25th. They were out, but really only bothersome while waiting in line for the bus at the resort. Never even noticed them in the parks, and didn't really notice them at the resort except for at the bus lines. They didn't hurt us at all, just landed on us and were easily swooshed away with our hand. Really wasn't a big deal at all. I would much rather deal with love bugs than mosquito's or wasps.

That's a surprising comment since we are one month back from a 9/26 - 10/3 trip and they were EVERYWHERE at MK and Epcot. They were inescapable and annoyed our kids a great deal. We also noticed that a number of others would dodge them while walking.
